We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers (age 16+) in the Wichita area to help make this year's WCLA National Championship a great success!  Below are brief descriptions of each committee.  We appreciate your interest and support of the WCLA and USA Lacrosse! 

Event Administration Committee: In this committee you will help manage the Information Tent with USA Lacrosse staff. Event Information will be shared with all committee volunteers prior to the event and staff will have a hard copy in the tent as well for reference. Volunteers in this committee will also help support meal distribution to staff, volunteers, and officials. 

Event Operations CommitteeIn this committee you will work directly with USA Lacrosse staff to manage all fields during the event. Responsibilities will include set-up and tear down of fields with tents and tables, refilling sideline hydrations stations with drinks and ice as needed, sign placement, and other related tasks.  *This committee will have days prior to competition available. *

Game Operations Committee: In this committee you will help track game scores, record goals and penalties, and keep track of the official game time at the field. Training will be provided prior to the event.

    • Introduction Clinic on Monday, May 6th and a Skills Clinic on Wednesday, May 8th.
    • Clinic features current WCLA players and coaches running drills, alongside USA Lacrosse certified instructors.

USA LACROSSE VOLUNTEER/PARTICIPANT WAIVER AND MEDIA RELEASE

WAIVER AND RELEASE
In consideration of myself or a minor under my legal care agree to participate ("Participant") in a US Lacrosse, Inc. d/b/a USA Lacrosse interaction. Participant is fully aware of and accept the risks, including the risk of catastrophic injury, paralysis, and even death, as well as other damages and losses, associated with participation in a lacrosse-related event. Participant further agrees, on behalf of myself, my child, minor under my legal care, my heirs, and personal representatives, that USA Lacrosse, USA Lacrosse members, leagues, teams, host organizations, contractors, and/or sponsors of recognized or sponsored events, together with their respective affiliates, employees, agents, officers, directors, volunteers, coach, officials, shall not be liable for any injury, loss of life, or other loss or damage occurring as a result of my participation in any such USA Lacrosse recognized or sanctioned event. I agree that it is my sole responsibility to determine whether I am sufficiently fit and healthy enough to participate in the Event, that I am responsible for my own safety and well-being at all times and under all circumstances while at the Event site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I/Legal Guardian, on behalf of myself and/or minor, hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue and indemnify and hold harmless, USA Lacrosse, the USA Lacrosse event, volunteers, exhibitors, vendors, their respective administrators, directors, coaches and other employees, officers, and agents of the organization, other participants, sponsors, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the Event, all of which are hereinafter referred to a "releasees," from any and all LIABILITY to each of the undersigned, his or her heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands, losses or damages on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence, default or other action or inaction of any person or entity, of the releasees or otherwise.

INSPECT AND REMOVE
Participant hereby agrees, prior to participating in any activity at the Event, will inspect the facilities and equipment to be used and direct any minor under my care, to do the same, and if myself/legal guardian(s) or the minor believes anything is unsafe, he/she/they should immediately advise their coach/ supervisor of such condition(s) and refuse to participate. Participant further understands and agrees that USA Lacrosse/Releasees, (as defined below) in its own sole discretion, reserves the right to suspend, limit, or terminate access to the Event.

MEDIA RELEASE
In consideration of my, or my child or ward's participation in a US Lacrosse, Inc. d/b/a USA Lacrosse interaction, I, grant USA Lacrosse and its employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, directors, and officers (collectively, "USA Lacrosse) the license to use my name, or my child's likeness, image, photograph, voice, video, athletic performance, biographical, and other information (collectively, "Likeness"), in any media platform or format whatsoever, and to distribute, broadcast and exhibit these without charge, restriction or liability and such shall be the property of USA Lacrosse in perpetuity. I hereby release and discharge USA Lacrosse from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with the use of my, or my child's likeness for the purposes described herein. For non-USA Lacrosse headquarters events, I further agree to be familiar with and to abide by the Rules and Regulations established for the Event location.

MEDICAL ATTENTION
I hereby give my consent to USA Lacrosse and the host organization to provide, through a medical staff of its choice, customary medical/athletic training attention, transportation, and emergency medical services as warranted in the course of my and/or minor's participation in the USA Lacrosse Event. Notwithstanding the foregoing, I understand and agree that neither USA Lacrosse nor the host organization has any obligation to provide any such medical/athletic training attention and both the lack of any such medical/athletic training attention and the provision hereof on a voluntary basis by USA Lacrosse and/or the host organization is and shall be covered by the release set forth herein.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION
I and USA Lacrosse agree that any claims or disputes arising from or relating to my participation in the USA Lacrosse Event, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of the State of Maryland without regard to Maryland's principles of conflicts of laws and the parties irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of any state or federal court sitting in the State of Maryland over any suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to this waiver and release. The parties irrevocably waive, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any objection that it may now or hereafter have to the laying the venue of any such suit, action, or proceeding brought in any such court and any claim that any such suit, action, or proceeding brought in any such court has been brought in an inconvenient forum.

In sum, I hereby warrant that I (or the Guardian, if I am under the age of 18) am of legal age and competent to enter into this Agreement, that I have read this Agreement carefully, understand its terms and conditions, acknowledge that I will be giving up substantial legal rights by accepting it (including the rights of my spouse, children, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns), acknowledge that I have accepted this Agreement without any inducement, assurance or guarantee, and intend for my acceptance to serve as confirmation
of my complete and unconditional acceptance of the terms, conditions, and provisions of this Agreement. This Agreement represents the complete understanding between the parties regarding these issues and no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made apart from this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

USAL has the right to share all the information herein with affiliated parties.
